The person in this position will interact with department heads, council and mayor.
The successful candidate will meet the following requirements:
Maintain all official records and documents of the City and oversee these records, providing assurance of the availability of the records to City officials and the general public.
Prepares monthly and annual reports, knowledge of City operations and terminology, and maintains proof of publication.
Assures the prompt and orderly payment of municipal debt of the City and for registration of the same, either directly through a Registrar, Trustee, or Paying Agent, and has general knowledge of the issuance of the City’s debt.
Maintain updated and accurate records of all investments, bonds, outstanding, tax levies, flow of funds within all of the various fund structure of the City, and all other pertinent financial information requarding the operation of the City; responsible for the prompt and proper deposit of monies received, maintains records of receipts and deposits, and provides a full and complete accounting of all monies received in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
Keeps current records of all licenses and permits granted by the City Council.
Computation of wages, taxes, premiums and payments, receives and pays bills as directed: prepares, issues and sends out receipts, bills, policies, invoices, statements, and checks.

Water utilities; prepares bills, receives, payment of water bills, and posts payments to accounts; makes change and prepares monies for deposits; prepares shut-off notices, bills, and other materials for mailing.
Cemetery: sells/issues cemetery deeds, burials, record keeping, deposit payments.
Pool: sells/takes pictures for ticket sales, record/deposit daily monies, get cleaning supplies, keep records.
Provides information and assistance to customers with questions or complaints, or refers customers to proper person.
This job is a salaried position, 40 hour work week, 8 hour work days.
This job will require clerk/treasure schooling which is 1 week a summer for 3 years. Training will be acquired during your first 3 years of employment with the city if you do not already have this training.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office is preferred but not required.
