Public Library Innovation Grants

With the support of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the International City/County Management Association (ICMA) will provide $500,000 in grants to cities, towns, and counties that are committed to using their public library as a vital tool in addressing community priorities and issues in a unique, non-traditional manner. Individual grants will range from $20,000 to $60,000 and be 18 months in length. City governments and public libraries with the endorsement and commitment of a local government partner are among the entities eligible to apply.

The grant application deadline is January 9, 2009.

The grant Web site is http://icma.org/publiclibrarygrants

Good luck to all grant applicants!
